The "Lost Beach" art exhibition was on display in the summer of 2006 at "With All My Art!", 26 King Street West, in downtown Cobourg, Ontario.

Cobourg’s West Beach has undergone rapid change since 2006, from various property-owners raising fences on the beach and, in some cases, down to the waterline, to the town building a boardwalk westward from the Marina. The beach is changing before our eyes, and will never be as it was.

In 2004 Cobourg artist Pat Stanley began using the West Beach as her inspiration for a series of watercolours. Her show, “Lost Beach”, served to remind the people of Cobourg what their beach was like in the past, how it is changing and will continue to change over the coming years, and what has been lost forever.
